DIY Lip Scrub

You've probably heard of the lush lip scrubs by now. They are very popular and come in different flavors, and are even edible! But, they are pretty expensive. They are $9.95, and are very small as shown below. So sometimes I like to make my own lip scrub! Even though this is not edible, it really works well.

For the ingredients, you will need:

Vaseline (the type with the petroleum jelly)

Sugar (the one that you have at your house is fine)

Procedures and Application:

1. Mix the two ingredients together - depending on how much lip scrub you are making, the amount of each ingredient will vary. However, make sure you have about half and half of each ingredient, or a little more of Vaseline than sugar, but it shouldn't be a big difference in amount.

2. Apply this to your lips - the sugar beads are very important. They are the ones that work into your lips to take off any dead skin cells on them.

3. Wash the lip scrub off after you have had it on for a while.

4. Apply your favorite lip balm, or moisturizer.

5. Repeat every two weeks or so.

Now, you're done with your simple DIY lip scrub. It has the same texture as the Lush ones, but are a lot cheaper! And, it is super fun and easy to make.
Hope you try this DIY Lip Scrub out! Enjoy ☆

Esperanza Eyeshadow Palette - Kat Von D

I've definitely heard about the Kat Von D tattoo liquid eyeliners, but I've never heard of any of their eyeshadow palettes. However, while browsing through Sephora's website, the new Esperanza Eyeshadow Palette from Kat Von D caught my eye. Besides the gorgeous packaging, the unique colors were really the winners for me. This is a fun palette, with some colors that you wouldn't normally use. It is very diverse, and can create different, fun looks.

Here is the amazing packaging. It is very fun, colorful, and eye-catching!

Here are all of the colors. There are eight in all.

This first color is a super shimmery purple color called Selena. This color is not too dark, and not too light. It is the perfect middle, and has an extra shimmer to it, which is a great plus. It's perfect to use for a party, when you want to try an alternative look instead of your usual black smokey eye, and want a more fun, youthful look. However, many reviews on Sephora said that this color has a bit of fallout.

The next color, is called dayglo, and it is a beautiful shimmery vanilla color when you look at it in the palette. However, since it is a transformer shade, when you apply it onto your lids, it turns out to have a nice slight green tint to it. This is perfect as a base color, or even for highlighting the inner corners and brow bone.

The next color is called galore, and when placed on the lid, it is light pink with a gold tint to it. It is very similar to the color rose gold, and it has a nice pearly finish to it.  I think this is a stunning color to apply to the lid, with a darker color blended in the outer v.

The next color is called placebo, and it is a bright coral color, that has very nice pigmentation when applied to the lid. This is a perfect color for the spring and summer, and it's great if you want to have a pop of color in your makeup looks. Instead of going bright pink with your blush, try going bright pink with your eyeshadow!  It is overall a fun color to try out.

This next color is a greenish grey with a hint of blue, and it is called Santeria. It is also a very shimmery color. I think this color is perfect for a dark smokey eye. It is very unique because it has a green tint, but will still help achieve an intense look, which is what a smokey eye is supposed to create.

The next shade is one of the shades that I am most excited about. It is called archangel, and is a cool, minty green, light blue shade. It is a fun shade to use, and could go on the lower lash line with the color Santeria, which is right above. This might be a new color for many people, but I think they will enjoy this color, because you don't see it much as an eyeshadow color.

The next color south, is a pinkish beige, and isn't really visible on the eyelids. That is why it's a good shade to use as a base, to cover up any veins or redness on the eyes.

The final color is a shimmery bronze, and it is called dog roses. This color would be great in the outer v, with the color galore (the third color we looked at). It can also go with any light shimmery gold based color, especially rose golds. It is a nicely pigmented shadow color.

Overall, this is a nice sized palette that would serve as a great present. Right now, it is priced at 36 dollars on the Sephora website. The packaging and color combination in this palette, is really what makes this palette unique and worth owning.

Birthday Wishlist

Even though my birthday is not so soon, I like to think early about what I'd like to get for it. Read below to see the things that I want to get for my B-day! I hope you get an idea for what you would like to get on your birthday, and enjoy! ♡ (Btw, these are not in any specific order)

1. Shoes

The first pair of shoes that I really want are plain white converse.

White converse are super simple and comfy, but look cute with pretty much any outfit.

The next pair of shoes that I want are black patent leather doc martens.

Black patent leather doc martens are another pair of universal shoes, and they are super adorable, and make outfits more edgy, especially with the pretty, polished sheen.

2. Gift Cards
I love to go shopping and I love to get new clothes. When I get a gift card, I am always happy, because I get to choose the items that I buy, and get them in the perfect size.

I would like to get a dELia*s gift card, because they have the most adorable graphic tees and accessories.

I would like to get an Aeropostale gift card, so I could buy things from the adorable Bethany Mota collection.

A Brandy Melville gift card, because I love their accessories.

A Sephora gift card, because I love all of their makeup, and how they sell so many different brands.

3. A Wallet
My wallet is so old, and I really need a new one. This a kate spade one.

This is the Cherry Lane Lacey Wallet in Dark Geranium.

Urban Decay Smoked Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay has some best selling eyeshadow products, including their Naked Palettes, and their primer potion. I was rummaging through their website to look for cool eyeshadow products, and came across this one. I had heard of it maybe one time, but it isn't very popular. That is why I wanted to go over all of the beautiful colors, and the things included in the palette.

The Smoked Eyeshadow Palette comes in a zipper case, which is pretty unique for an eyeshadow palette, and comes with a mirror. It also includes a travel-size eyeshadow primer potion, and a 24/7 Glide-on eye pencil in a black color called Perversion, which fits in the palette. There are 10 eyeshadow colors in all.

Here are all of the colors.

The first color is called Kinky, and it's a neutral beige color. This is a good base color, to cover up any veins on the eye. It is also matte. It can also be used as a highlight for the inner tear duct or the brow bone.

The next color is called Freestyle. It is a matte, soft, peachy color. This is is a good color to use on the lid for a simple eye look.

The next color is called Mushroom, and is a beautiful gun metal color, but it almost looks kind of purpely. It is a shimmery silver, that is also a great lid color, when you're going to a special event, such as a party.

This color is called Backdoor, and it's a matte chocolate color. It is great for defining the crease, or for putting on the outer-v of the eye and blending, for a brown smokey eye.

This next color is called Blackout, and it is a matte black. It is the perfect color for a black smokey eye, or you can even use it to line your lash line.

Barlust is a nice, dark, oatmeal/bronzey color. It is great for defining the crease or blending in the outer-v. It has similar uses to Backdoor, but it is just a little lighter.

Rockstar is a cute purple plum color, that is jewel-toned. It is gorgeous to do a purple smokey eye with, because it is pretty dark. It can also be applied simply on the lid.

Evidence is a great pop of blue. It is also jewel-toned, and is a really pigmented, beautiful color. It is great to do a fun look with, and can be put on the lower lash line, the lid, the outer-v, etc. It can be placed pretty much anywhere, as a fun color to create a fresh look.

The next color, called Loaded, is a beautiful dark, forest green. It is very pigmented and jewel-toned as well. It is really nice, and a fun color like Evidence. Similar to Evidence, you can add it to the lower lash line, the lid, or anywhere to create a fun look. Especially when paired with a purple color like rockstar, it looks amazing. It can also be used to create a green smokey eye.

The final color is called Asphalt, and it is another silver color like Mushroom, but it's a little darker. It is better to create a darker silver smokey eye, and is also good for lining the lower lash line. It is a beautiful color.

I really enjoy the diversity of this palette, and the gorgeous, pigmented, darker colors. It is perfect to create any kind of dark smokey eye, and comes with an eye pencil and eye primer, which is pretty much everything you need to create an amazing eye look. It is 49 dollars on the Urban Decay website, and for the 10 eye shadow colors, the travel-size primer potion, the glide-on eye pencil, and the quality and pigmentation of the shadows, it is a fair price. I really see myself getting my hands on this palette in the future.

Bethany Mota's Spring Clothing Line 2014

Bethany Mota, known as Macbarbie07 on youtube, is a big success. She now has a winter and spring clothing line with Aeropostale. She has also recently finished her Motavatour, which is a bus tour she did, where she stopped at different aeropostale stores across the country. Here is a look at some of the clothing pieces from her spring clothing line that I enjoy, below.

Here is a neon yellow graphic tee that says 'now…' on the front, and 'or never' on the back ($14.00). She paired the shirt with her high-waisted, black wash, cropped jeggings from her line as well ($28.00).

For this outfit, Bethany paired her ooh la la cropped graphic tee in radiant coral ($14.00), with her high-waisted destroyed light wash denim shorty shorts ($24.00). Then to keep warm, she added her striped drape cardigan ($34.00), which is also from her clothing line.

Bethany started off with her sheer-back long sleeve lace crop top ($26.00) in the color coral fusion, then paired that with her black and white striped ponte skater skirt ($30.00), and a cute gold necklace with writing.

For this look, Bethany paired her lips cropped graphic tee ($14.00), with her destroyed light wash denim jacket ($50.00). Then she wore her cute military jeggings ($30.00).

For this adorable outfit, Bethany wore her ruffle moto jacket ($48.00) in the color chelsea fog, over her feathers v-neck graphic tee in the color bleach ($18.00). Then she wore a super cute white ruffle lace scallop style skirt, which unfortunately isn't from her line, and added cute black floral combat boots, which are also not from her line.

For the look on the left, Bethany paired her solid skater skirt in the color magenta madness ($24.00), with a simple black crop top, her faux leather zippered mini cross-body bag ($18.00), and her embellished cord wrap bracelet ($6.00). For the look on the right, Bethany paired her Burnout Maxi Skirt in the color classic navy ($32.00), with her love v-neck graphic tee in the color bleach ($18.00), and cute flip flops/sandals.

Here she is rocking her black and white striped ponte dress ($36.00), with a silver long-chained love necklace, cute heels, and a matching bracelet.

Here she put her grey wash denim overalls ($42.00), over her floral scoop-back crop top ($16.00), and put on some white shoes.

Here is her southwest fold-over combat boots ($48.00), that are really cute with a tribal/aztec design on the inside.

Check out all of her apparel on http://www.aeropostale.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=23753606&cp=3534618.3534619.3534623.3541049. All of her clothing is really adorable, and I really enjoy her spring line. I will definitely go shopping at aeropostale soon. ;)

NAILSPIRATION

Painting your nails in cool colors and designs are always fun to do. Here are some cool nail looks that can be fun to try out.

I love anything that's chevron, so I fell in love when I found this nail look. Start off with a soft pink for your thumb, pointer finger, and pinky. Then, paint your middle finger white, and draw black chevron lines with a toothpick or striper. Then paint your ring finger with a silver shimmery sparkly color.

These nails are a bit trickier to do, but look fabulous when you're done.
Start off by painting all of your nails neon yellow. Then, with a striper and tooth pick, draw lines, dots, and chevron stripes, in different directions for every other nail, as shown above.

These nails are super fun to do, and you can use your colors of choice. Start off by taping all of your fingers around your nails. Then paint your nail a solid color of choice, which will be the background, so a light color is preferred. Then, with different color nail polishes, start flicking them toward your nail. This will give it a splatter paint effect, and it's really cool. Make sure that you put a paper towel or something that you don't mind getting dirty, under your hand, so that your table or wherever you're painting your nails on doesn't get nail polish on it.

I also love this chevron nail look. Start by painting all of your fingers, except your ring finger in a cute shimmery color. The picture above used a pink corally color, which looks amazing. Next, paint your ring finger white. Then, add chevron stripes with either a striper or toothpick. Then, you're finished!

This next option can be changed easily. All you have to do is paint all of your fingers except your ring finger in a cute color. Then for you ring finger, which is your accent finger, paint it as a shimmery or metallic color, that goes well with your other polish color, but still pops. This is super cute and simple.

Here is a nail look, done by a youtuber, famous for her nail tutorials. Her account name is cutepolish.
For this look, she started off by painting all of her nails white, then added pink stripes with her striper, but a toothpick works as well. Then she took a green nail polish and made either two or three dots on her nails. Then, she connected them with a toothpick, and filled them in. Then she added cute roses, and leaves to finish off her vintage dripping floral nail art.

Lu Lu Lemon

Headbands from the brand, 'Lu Lu Lemon' became very popular at the end of last year, and this year. I have one myself, and I really enjoy it. I love how it has grips inside, so they actually stay on top of your head. Even though they are known for their headbands, I also found some great products they sell besides them. Here are some of their headbands, and products:

Here is their white fly away tamer headband. It is 12 dollars. This headband is thick, and is used more as an accessory, or for normal use.

This is the fly away tamer headband *mesh, in the color very light flare. This type of headband is more for athletic use, and is a lot thinner. This headband costs 14 dollars.

This is the astro pant in regular, *full-on Luon. The color combination is black, silver spoon, and very light flare. They are 98 dollars. The person above paired the yoga pants with cute white converse, a white tank top with a black sports bra underneath, and her black yoga mat, to have a nice yoga session in the sun.

Here is the nice asana jacket in fresh teal/mini hyper stripe fresh teal, which is 118 dollars. The lu lu lemon sign is on the zipper, and the back. Its a great zip up hoodie for exercising.

Overall, Lu Lu Lemon is a great store/site for athletic and yoga clothing and apparel. They sell everything from yoga mats, gloves, water bottles, hoodies, yoga pants, sports bras, and more.
